EVELIN MARSH PRESENTS: KINTSUGI SERIES AT SAN DIEGO ART SHOW

My art is inspired by the Kintsugi Japanese Art.

Kintsugi is the art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold. Built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections, you can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art.

Broken objects can be repaired and be made useful once again. This translates to the human experience.  We can always begin anew despite past failures. Accepting imperfections helps us to break free from the obsession of perfection.
